Teaneck, NJ June 21, 2004 -- Jason Bass, 8-year Teaneck, New Jersey resident establishes AutoEval, which provides shopping used vehicle consumers with information and peace of mind through independent vehicle evaluations prior to purchase. Jason is a former bank examiner with a quasi-governmental agency in New York who decided to start his own business. AutoEval helps people cut through the car salesmans pitch and get the truth about a car that is for sale. Our technicians go right to the vehicle someone is thinking about buying and provides a totally convenient and value-adding service, says Bass, who is President of his new company.
A husband and father of two toddlers - Julian and Justice - Jason resigned from his corporate position after 10 years of service. Starting this business will serve as a testament of will for my children to remember, states Bass. He further contends, As an African-American male, it seemed that no matter how many academic credits, prior experience I had, or contributions I made at work, I could not progress up the corporate ladder as fast as my counterparts who had much less to their credit.
As president, Mr. Bass is afforded the opportunity to apply his full array of experience, talents, and education to steering an unknown company to success. With the team I have, there is no question that success is attainable, states Bass referring to his vice president, Adam Ostaszewski; counsel, Shamsey Oloko of the Thorgood Law Firm in New York; and technical consultant, John Anello of Autotech On Wheels in New Jersey.
To his credit, Jason has earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York; Masters in Business Administration in Management and Entrepreneurship from Baruch College in New York City; and numerous technical certificates. Upon completing his MBA, Jasons 2001 brainchild, AutoEval, won Baruchs Entrepreneurship Competition in May 2003. Jason and Adam established AutoEval in New Jersey in September 2003 and began operations May 10, 2004.
AutoEval is already making strides and winning praise. The company already has a contractual agreement with CarFax (see Press Releases on www.autoeval.net). Spending $100 for AutoEvals service is a no-brainer, exclaims A. Gulati of New York City. Why would someone not want to have a vehicle evaluated prior to purchasing it? asks Bass.
